The investment by IFA Hotels & Resorts Limited in the Boschendal Estate marks the company’s debut in the Western Cape of South Africa, further expanding the group’s operations from the KwaZulu-Natal region. Boschendal is a highly prestigious estate with potential for significant hospitality, residential and mixed-use sustainable development.

As part of the company’s commitment to the community, IFA will contribute to the Boschendal transformation programme expected to generate more than R100 million in cash, creating employment opportunities and contributing 270 hectares of land to the local community over the next 10 years.

Future plans for the 2,400-hectare estate include an upmarket retirement village with 500 individual homes, a boutique hotel with approximately 80 rooms and a mixed-use shopping centre, offices and apartments.
