IFA Hotels & Resorts formed a 50-50 joint venture with Istithmar to develop The Palm Golden Mile.

Istithmar is a major investment house based in the United Arab Emirates focusing on private equity, real estate and other alternative investments. To date, Istithmar has invested in 33 companies and deployed approximately US$ 1 billion in equity capital investment.
 
Istithmar forms part of The Corporate Office comprising Dubai’s Ports Customs & Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) and Nakheel.
