Following its tradition of producing events that are truly the highlight of the Algarve’s summer cultural calendar, the living legend, Lionel Richie, performed and enchanted the exclusive audience, at the annual Pine Cliffs Summer Gala, on the 1st August 2007. The magical night took place in the magnificent gardens of the Casa Pine Cliffs - the resort’s latest project - Pine Cliffs Residence.

More than 800 guests danced ‘All Night Long’ to hits, such as: Three Times a Lady, Hello, Dancing on the Ceiling, and his latest hit, I Call it Love, from his new album ‘Coming Home’.

“The event this year was certainly more special for us as we are celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the Sheraton Algarve Hotel”, says Flavio Bucciarelli, Area Manager Algarve and General Manager of the Sheraton Algarve Hotel & Pine Cliffs Resort. “Richie’s performance was definitely one of the best we have had from all the Summer Galas organised so far and the team is very proud for having provided such a memorable evening.”

Many famous faces from Portuguese society, musicians, actors and members of the press attended the outstanding event, singing and dancing to the songs and unforgettable rhythm of Lionel Richie, who transmitted an incredible energy to all present. The result was a truly magical evening.
