In 2010, IFA Hotels & Resorts announced that its site at 42nd Street and 10th Avenue in New York City would be transformed into a 669-room YOTEL. Opened in June 2011, YOTEL New York was the first YOTEL outside of an airport and is a part of Related Company’s 1.2 million square foot, 60-storey LEED-Silver complex that includes residential units as well as a Frank Gehry designed Signature Theatre.
The flagship property is designed by Rockwell Group of New York in
collaboration with Softroom of London and features 12,000 sqft of
dynamic and flexible space and the largest outside terrace space for a hotel in the city.
The hotel’s 669 cabins offer customers a beautifully designed space in
which to relax, refresh, connect and sleep. On the fourth floor is a
restaurant, the stunning living room/outdoor
terrace space, a deluxe lounge and bar with private meeting
rooms, a
gym, a studio space for a range of events, a lounge space
for working or
relaxing, workstations to catch up on email and elevators to
the 19
floors of guest rooms.
